Evidence Based Treatment
Evidence-based treatment for clients experiencing a range of emotional and/or behavioral problems. I implement approaches that address client’s individual value systems and backgrounds. Among these approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-a structured, goal-oriented type of psychotherapy (talk therapy), motivational interviewing (MI)-clients determine their goals for change and own path for change and relational therapy-which promotes development of new ideas and thinking patterns about relationships and belief systems.

Based on core concepts of positive psychotherapy, we focus on your internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather than on your weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings. Developing a positive mindset will help you build on your best qualities, find your strengths, improve resilience, and change your worldview to one that is more positive. Our goal is to discover the inner strengths you can tap into in order to build solutions.

Services Available

For the initial intake assessment, we will meet for about 60 minutes to complete an in-depth assessment of your past experiences, current symptoms and overall goals. This will allow for us to provide specialized, individualized care to best address your concerns and goals. We will also provide diagnoses related to current symptoms you are experiencing and offer consultations with your medical providers for additional referrals and medication options.

Treatment Sessions are offered for 30 and 60 minute appointments. Sessions are tailored for your needs, and may include skill building, processing, mindfulness practices, communication building and trauma-informed symptom reduction through evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, MI and TF-DBT.

We are available to consult with your medical providers, outside care teams, specialized care and loved ones to best meet your needs. We also provide specialized resources and referrals for additional and alternatives care options when needed.
